Thailand’s DBD Launches New System: Key Tips You Must Know!

The Department of Business Development (DBD) in Thailand has launched a new system

Recently, the Department of Business Development (DBD) launched a new system. The system aims to optimize the business environment and strengthen market supervision. It will accurately verify the registered headquarter addresses of corporate business entities.

Auramon Supthaweethum, the Director – General of DBD, clearly stated that the system is now fully open to the public. This means that not only business practitioners and self – employed individuals, but also ordinary citizens can use this system conveniently.

For the general public, this system has a highly practical function. In today’s complex business environment, personal information security faces many risks. Address misappropriation to register legal entities occurs from time to time. The new system allows individuals to easily check if their addresses have been used without their knowledge or consent. This measure provides strong protection for personal rights. It helps detect and prevent potential risks in a timely manner. It safeguards individuals’ legitimate rights and interests.

How to Use the New DBD System

If you wish to use this highly practical service, the operation process is not complicated. Now, let me tell you how to do it:

1.You need to visit the official DBD website at http://www.dbd.go.th. After entering the website page, find the “Popular Services” section among numerous sections.

2.In the “Popular Services”, select the corresponding option for verifying the registered headquarters of a legal entity.

3.After entering the relevant page, users are required to enter relevant address information in the designated location. This information must be accurate to ensure the system can conduct precise searches.

4.After the input is completed, the system will quickly start running the search program.

Once the system finishes the search, it will show if the entered address is registered to a legal entity. It will provide users with basic details, including the enterprise registration number. This number is a unique identity mark for each legal entity. The system will also display the entity’s name, which is its official title used externally. Additionally, it will show the address of the registered headquarters, helping users understand its location.

Ms. Oramon further explained that if users discover during the query process that their address has been used for registration without permission, they can request verification of the registered headquarters.

Precautions for the Verification Service

There are strict regulations when applying for the relevant verification service. The request must come from the homeowner. It can also come from the property owner or location owner. To ensure the authenticity and legality of the application, these applicants are required to provide several necessary documents.

For homeowners, they need to provide a copy of the housing registration document, which can clearly prove their legal ownership of the house. Property owners, on the other hand, should submit the land ownership deed as strong evidence of their property rights. In addition, a copy of the personal identity card must be provided for all applicants. This is necessary to verify identity information.

If there is a rental situation, the applicant also needs to provide any lease agreements or cancellation documents (if applicable). The lease agreement clearly shows the usage rights and relevant agreements for the location. The cancellation document illustrates the termination of the lease relationship. A location map is also essential. It visually displays the specific geographical location and surrounding environment, aiding accurate verification. Additionally, the applicant must provide valid contact information for timely communication during the review process.

notice

The department will verify the registered headquarters address of a legal entity. Some legal entities do not have a valid registered address. In such cases, the department will clearly mark the entity as “having no registered address” in the system. It is worth noting that this marked information will be recorded in the system. It will also simultaneously appear in the certification documents and the DBD Datawarehouse + system.

At the same time, the DBD is holding a public hearing. The purpose is to discuss whether written consent is required. The question is whether consent is needed before a certain location can be used as a registered business address. The results of the hearing are expected to be announced in the middle of next month.
